ECYS History
The East County Youth Symphony held it's first rehearsal on January 19, 2007
under the direction of Olga Reztsova. During that first season the Orchestra grew from 17
musicians to 27 in June of 2007.
Since those days, East County Youth Symphony has grown to encompass 2 symphony orchestras, concert band,
chamber orchestra and a pre-orchstra division for young children. All of these groups rehearse weekly and
perform publicly throughout the year.
