East County Youth Symphony - Advanced Orchestra

The safety of our students and teaching team during COVID-19 is our PRIORITY NUMBER ONE.
All ECYS classes remain online untill further notice.

ECYS Summer Symphony is a summer extension of the Advanced Division. It was formed to continue pre-professional orchestra training for advanced players who have chosen music as a possible career choice during the summer. Summer Symphony is also an opportunity for ECYS alumni who now attend college outside of San Diego to participate if they return home during summer break. It is open to all musicians who have at least four years of experience playing their instrument. Summer Symphony is open to strings, wind and brass. One of the following languages is required (for International Students) - English, Spanish, Russian. An Audition is required. Repertoire and concert schedule are extremely challenging.
Summer Symphony (Advanced Division) is open to all interested community musicians as well as all ECYS Alumni. Our Summer Session is about fun and learning from older players. Every summer we have wonderful guest musicians working with us. It becomes a good tradition for many local music teachers to join us for this time of year, and perform together with their students ...
