During the 2011-2012 season, the Hausmann Quartet was the winner of a Chamber Music America Residency grant, which supported a four-day educational residency with Rockport Music in Rockport, Massachusetts. In addition to this and supporting their strong believe in education, the Hausmann Quartet presented a weeklong series of lecture/concerts as Quartet-in-Residence at Stanford University’s Educational Program for Gifted Youth Summer Institute for high school students (age 14-17). This current season also saw the quartet named Winner of 2011 Beverly Hills Auditions, as well as giving a thrilling first ever string quartet performance to a packed house in Shijiazhuang China.

Although passionate about on stage performances, the Hausmann Quartet has also been a featured ensemble on Performance Today, Aspen Public Radio, WRCJ Detroit, WFMT Chicago and KZSU Stanford.

Through its signature “Music and More” program the Hausmann Quartet presents creative and engaging concerts on a national level combining themed programs within the context of their respective art, literature and historical place. This program is presented in collaboration with libraries, galleries, community centers, and high school and middle school classes. “Music and More” creates a dynamic dialogue between the past and present, the different genres of the arts and humanities, among audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

With a deep belief in community engagement, the Hausmann Quartet has established a residency at the Wilson School in Mountain Lakes, NJ, bringing creative musical programs to grade school children. The quartet has also worked with the International Music Foundation in presenting a children's concert series in the Chicago area, as well as a two-week educational residency in Hickory, North Carolina. Most recently the quartet has presented engaging programs for youth all over the larger San Diego area through their residency with San Diego State University, and concurrent affiliation with La Jolla Music Society.

For their training, the Hausmann Quartet has been a part of workshops and degree programs at institutions such as Longy School of Music, Kent State University, SUNY Stony Brook, the Juilliard School, San Francisco State University, McGill and San Diego State University.
